Foundational Creativity: New Creative Output Emerges from New Foundations

I am writing a book on Foundational Creativity - the creation of new, generative, fertile ground from which new levels of holistically generative creativity (creativity that is generative for the self, others and the whole) can emerge. Foundations inform the shape, texture and scope of our creative output. This is a diagram for both personal and social/societal foundations, as our individual foundations are inextricably linked with and informed by our social foundations.

The following is an initial sketch of a partial list of elements that will be included, i.e., consciousness, among other aspects, will be included but is not in this particular diagram. It is an iterative process :-) I am heading out today to give an interactive presentation on this at the Project Renaissance Learning and Creativity Doublefest. We'll use multiple dimensions of creative process to explore past/current and emerging/future informing foundations.

Michelle - great visual! Looks like the focus for Foundational Creativity is personal, correct? That is, it uncovers what's going on in the individual with regards to their own creativity?

Thanks, Marci. Actually, it is both personal and societal/cultural - as our individual foundations are inextricably linked with our social foundations. I had that in the visual, but then changed it for simplicity. I did just add a mention of it into the intro paragraph, thanks to your question :-)
