I was delighted to find out about these three events (none of which I have attended, but all of which hold resonance for me): the TED(Technology, Entertainment, Design) conference, the PUSH conference, and the GEL Conference. They are a new type of conference that speak to the cultural emergence of the intersection of business, service and creativity. It is becoming increasing recognized that creativity in the workplace is no longer optional "after the real work gets done," but rather is the most essential, vital force of change in every area of our lives and work - it inspires change and is needed to navigate change.
These conferences are alive with hope, exploration and possibility. Each is unusual. Each brings together thought leaders from all over the world each year to explore the patterns, trends and the emerging future in business, technology, art, design, science, entertainment, politics, experience and the environment. They, and others like them, help us develop arenas to consciously create what's next. They create a space for us to become conscious and aware global participants in designing our emerging future.
